As Mr. Holley explains, "When I was a kid, I wanted to make movies. I designed this camp to help kids like I once was learn everything you need to know to study and start making films when you are young! Based on my experience in Film School, this full-day, three-week Film School is a 'movie boot camp', where we will learn film history (early films as examples of great filmmaking), screenwriting, (writing your script), production (filming your movie), and editing (finishing your movie). It will be hard work, but if you dream of making movies, then this camp is meant for you! (I wish something like it had existed when I was a kid!)" Instructor: Lamar Holley

Journeys is what happens when you extend Adventures across an entire day. All the fun and exploration get supersized with experiences that simply can't fit inside of a half day. Whether we stay close to home to immerse ourselves in an experience or drive an hour into the mountains to picnic by a cool lake, we'll be on the road to fun with friends. INCOMING 5TH GRADE SOCIAL CLUB / AM (INCOMING SLArts students only)

Get a feel for your new school, make new friends and meet faculty & staff. Many days we will be setting off on outings to experience our “downtown classroom” in the same manner we do throughout the year. MOON BASE CAMP / AM

Explore the Moon! And survive it! We'll need a moon base to do that. Your job is to design and build it. You'll need a good understanding of lunar conditions: extreme heat, cold, radiation .... even deadly moon dust. We'll take hints from NASA's Artemis Program as we put our incredible explorations together to create the best model lunar colony we can. Instructor: Jeni White

ROCKIN' ROBOTICS CAMP / AM

Campers will design, build and program robots to problem-solve and develop creative engineering skills in small groups. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming or Lego SPIKE technology. Instructor: Jake Paszko

Get out your quads or blades. Learn to skate, brush up on skills, dance moves, crossover, backwards skating, speed skating .... have fun & get fit! We'll plan outdoor and indoor time. You must have your own skates, helmets, & pads as well. Please note: Helmets will be required. (Scheduling DAILY DROP-INS beginning in May)

*New* this summer for our youngest adventurers! In the same spirit, yet in their own van .... these kids will be heading out to make great memories with new friends. Whether cooling off at a pool or a fun splash pad, swinging from a rope swing at the end of a trail, playing at a park, or as is frequently the case, choosing their own adventure -- we are up for unique experiences every time as intrepid explorers this summer! We travel in small groups, like to be outside and active, and leave the world better than we found it wherever we go. BRAIN GAMES / PM

Brain Games is a camp that focuses on games of strategy, logic, or reasoning, including word games like 'Bananagrams', Boggle, Scrabble; short mysteries, guessing games and riddles; jigsaw puzzles (either solo or in groups for speed); trivia games, and/or interactive games like, "police sketch artist". Let's see what this week holds with a focus on logic and having a hilarious time together! Instructor: Marti Olsen

CRAFTERNOONS / PM

An afternoon dedicated to crafting with different themes each day, along with an edible craft to enjoy! This fun camp is for all skill levels. Have fun creating items to keep, share, or give as gifts while socializing with new & old friends! Instructor: Holly Winn

EN PLEIN AIR PAINTING & DRAWING / PM

What do we mean when we say "En Plein Air"? We mean we'll be outside! Most afternoons we'll take our materials and head over to Liberty Park to paint and draw all manner of things -- flowers, birds at Tracy Aviary, maybe even each other. Much of our painting will be with watercolor and all materials will be provided by SLArts. Instructor: Jiggs Henry

SALT LAKE CAPOEIRA / PM

Come join Mestre Jamaika and discover the vibrant Brazilian dance/martial art form that is Capoeira! Campers will learn about the culture and community through music, movement, and song. YOU GOAT THIS! is offering a relaxed time to hang out, chat, or continue with self directed games & sports at the school. Start or end your day from 7:45 - 9:00 am & 3:30 - 5:15 pm to supplement camp time through the month of June. Camp is always more fun with friends, so spread the word! Pickup at SLArts. Cost is $90/wk
