SLArts Return to In Person Learning
For the 2021-22 school year, Salt Lake Arts Academy is planning a regular, full-day schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 8:15 to 3 p.m. The Friday schedule is 8:15 - 12.35.
The SLArts Return to School Covid-19 Safety Plan is being updated for our 2021-22 school year, and has more details about our plans to open and stay open as safely as possible. Some actions families can take to ensure that students may attend school in person are as follows:
- Wear a face mask. We are asking all students, teachers, staff and visitors to voluntarily wear a face mask to protect our students who are not eligible for Covid vaccine. Consistent masking has been demonstrated to prevent the spread of Covid in school settings. By wearing face masks until our community is not experiencing Covid spikes, we can help ensure in-person learning for our students. Face masks are available in the office if a student or visitor needs one.
- Stay home when sick. We are asking families and staff to be vigilant about monitoring your health and to stay home if you are ill. Students who become ill at school must be picked up as soon as possible.
This year, Remote Learning will not be an ongoing option for families this year, unless the entire school is placed on Remote Learning. Students who need to quarantine for a Covid-19 infection will coordinate their school work with their teachers, on a case-by-case basis.
SLArts will continue to follow recommendations from the Utah Department of Health and Salt Lake County Health Department to maintain a safe and healthy return to In-Person learning.
