ALIEN INVASION RADIO PLAY PRODUCTION
Discover the fun of foley arts! Never heard of it? Make sounds like "walking on clouds" come alive, stormy weather, footsteps, explosions, and much more. Through using either objects you handle, mechanical devices you whirr, turn crank, or manipulate, or by playing back pre-recorded sounds, you'll be coordinating with voice actors delivering their dialogue or with live musicians ~ in real time ~ on stage! Voice work with NO memorization!, foley arts, a great story, and tons of fun! Limited to 15 players + stage crew. Director: Holly Winn

Do you adore animals? Do you want to share your love for our furry friends with like-minded folks and with local advocacy groups and services? Well, here is your chance to truly show up and provide both visitations at the shelter through a few field trips there, as well as creating homes and toys for their comfort and safety! Connect with the other animal lovers here at school to create active change in our community.

MATH COUNTS
Join part of the SLArts Math Counts group who will be sending 10 students to compete in the Math Counts competition in February, and maybe even continue onto the State competition in March! We will practice in timed competition, math problem solving & strategies, teamwork, and more. Instructor: Zane Colter + we welcome Parent Volunteers
~ Open to all grades, but primarily 7th & 8th Graders who will be eligible to compete this year
~ Math Counts is offered for Free through our Math department

GUITAR JAM
For Intermediate students who are excited to extend their skills & explore various genres .... continue deeper into the fundamentals of playing guitar! Instruction includes developing your technique, greater fluency reading notes & tabs, and playing new and interesting chords. Many styles and genres are explored! LET'S MAKE AN ~ INDIANA JONES STYLE ~ ADVENTURE MOVIE -- runs on BOTH Monday and Wednesday each week. See details and sign up under Monday / Fall Semester / Pay in two partial payments
Design, build and program robots to problem-solve and develop creative engineering skills in small groups. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming. Instructor: Jake Paszko

YOU GOAT THIS ~ SKATE GOATS!
Get out your quads or blades! Learn to skate, brush up on skills, dance moves, crossover, backwards skating, speed skating, street hockey .... have fun & get fit! You must have your own skates, helmets, and pads. We'll be indoors and out, trying out different parks, ribbons, and even a local Roller Derby rink. Please note: Helmets will be required.

HOMEWORK HALL
Need a chance to get your homework done before your busy afternoon and evening activities? Students focus on their work or silent reading in a quiet, supervised “study hall.” Sign up for one day or more, depending upon your needs. Homework Hall continues all year long, but registration occurs per term to allow for flexibility in students’ changing after-school schedules. Homework Hall is offered Monday through Thursday.

EXTENDED DAY
Downtime AFTER our enrolled after school classes, this unstructured, but supervised time is different than Homework Hall or our other activity-based classes. Socialize, play games, and just hang out until a parent or pick-up arrives. If your child does not head out by themselves for the bus, biking, walking, carpool or TRAX, this is a great option AFTER our other AFTER SCHOOL offerings.
