Remote Control Cars are for everyone! Learn about, modify, play with, and race RC cars to find out who will be the Winner of the SLArts Term ONE series. Discover the joys of miniature scale and radio control as we explore how they work, create our own tracks to race on, take them out & about, and have a blast before our weekends! SLARTS NEWS!
Students who are excited about sharing news stories, interviews, movie or restaurant reviews, creative writing, photography, illustration, poetry, and whatever we believe will interest our school community will be pulling our periodical together with pizzazz! SKATING WITH SKEET ~ this group is closed ~
Spend your afternoon with wheels on your feet, groovin' with others who love the flow and fun of flying over the ground, growing our skills on skates! We will make sure we have time to practice good technique, so we can enjoy this joyful sport with confidence, whether we want to focus on developing our floor or street hockey game, .... or we want to be able to dance on wheels .... easily skating backwards, smoothly doing crossovers, moving to the funkiest music we can find .... or maybe we may feel the 'need for speed' with Inline skating, derby, skate parks and more. There is so much to learn! Don't worry, we will have some rest time and support wherever you are on your skating journey, but we'll be getting outside as much as we can. **We cannot provide roller skates or roller blades, so students must have their own equipment, including your helmet! Wrist guards can be helpful, but are not essential. Helmuts are a MUST, as is a signed Student Waiver/Liability form. Instructor: Skeet Couper

DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS CLUB ~ this group is closed ~
Discover the world of this legendary fantasy role-playing game that has entertained people of all ages for the last 40 years! Step into the shoes of mighty heroes, or tricky antiheroes --- you are the character in this story you create as you play. You'll be enthralled with the story-telling that unfolds whether you are finding treasure, deep in battle, attempting rescues, and much, much more. All levels are welcome! Limited to 12 players, split into smaller 4-5 person campaigns. Dungeon Masters: Danielle Waters and Grey Bakken and various student Dungeon Masters.

FIBERS, FABRICS & FUN ~ this group is closed ~
Transform something old into something new with Aunt Di. Whether you've ever found things at a clothing swap, or you love to go thrifting, we will take the materials and clothes in front of us, learn how to use a sewing machine, or get creative with hand-sewing techniques. Repair rips or worn spots of your favorite jeans using Japanese Sashiko patterns, or get creative with painting or dying fabrics in new ways. No matter what you are experimenting with, you'll learn about a variety of materials and many different techniques to create unique pieces to wear and treasure. Instructor: Diane Flaherty

MINIATURE WORLDS OF WONDER ~ this group is closed ~
Build your own Gnome Homes, create a Magical Fairy Garden, and explore new perspectives of small worlds using objects of all kinds! Whether we use natural materials, found objects, or living plants, we'll also be using our imagination. In terrariums, dioramas, or potted scenes, we can share our favorite fantasy stories for inspiration with characters we know or make-up it up as we go! Instructor: Bonnie Cooper
