FLAMENCO DANCE AND RHYTHMS 
Flamenco is all about rhythm! Join us for this fun class where we'll learn Flamenco dance and rhythms with many props, including castanets, fans, palmas (clapping) and, of course, Speedy Footwork! Students that participate in the class will learn a choreography to be performed at the end of Term Two should they continue through the fall. Olé!

WIND AND STRING IMPROV 
Here is an opportunity for students of wind and string instruments to have fun exploring both musical ideas and techniques while having a great time together. This is a class more about listening and playing together, otherwise known as musical communication, than it is a group lesson or introduction to an instrument. Enhance your communications skills in other areas by playing with your favorite instrument.

HOMEWORK HALL 
Need a chance to get your homework done before your busy afternoon and evening activities? Students focus on their work or silent reading in a quiet, supervised “study hall.” Sign up for one day or more, depending upon your needs. Homework Hall continues all year long, but registration occurs per term to allow for flexibility in students’ changing after school schedules. Homework Hall is offered Monday through Thursday.

EXTENDED CARE  
Downtime AFTER our language, enrichment, or academic support classes. Different than Homework Hall, this is a time for socializing, games, and just hanging out until parent or pick-up arrives. If your child does not head out by themselves for the bus, biking, walking, carpool or TRAX, this is a great option AFTER our other AFTER SCHOOL offerings.

SPANISH CLUB 
Learn a new language or continue to build upon the basics in an immersive setting with games and cultural awareness. Emphasis is on conversational Spanish rather than grammar and written skills. This class is Tuesday AND Thursday throughout the year, but open to registration each semester.

~ First class begins Tuesday, Aug 28, ends in May, fall semester ends on Jan 17
~ BEGINNING CLASS ends at 4:15 pm / ONE HOUR CLASS

FRENCH CLUB

YEARBOOK CLUB  
Help design and create the 2018-2019 SLArts Yearbook! Choose original artwork from among hundreds of student pieces, organize layout and different sections, take & edit photographs, and research to find fun facts to make this the best yearbook yet!
Instructor: Henry Miller
~ Grades 6 – 8 only / This club is a commitment to creating and will require focused work.
~ $150 for the year
