Elizabeth Wilson, Visual Arts Teacher

I believe in giving students as much choice as possible in the art studio. In our art studio you will experience drawing, painting, iPad digital, sculpture, clay, textile, printmaking and lots more. WE learn together about the artistic process and develop our own creative path. I am a 'wanna be' naturalist who loves exploring nature and finding new textures, patterns, and shapes that may inspire my own artwork. I received my BFA degree in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and I just recently completed my MA in Art Education from Eastern Illinois University.

A little bit about me....

I have been teaching art for the past 36 years! The Arts Academy has been my home since 2003! I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Art Education and I completed my Masters in Art Education in 2022. My passions are teaching, being inspired by my students and the great outdoors, creating sculptures from found materials, painting dogs, hiking, exploring new places and hanging out with my family. I am currently learning basic metal smithing.
