CHESS CLUB
Grow your appreciation & enthusiasm for this timeless game of strategy, whether your goal is tournament play or simply improving your understanding of chess basics for friendly games. Learn chess openings and principals along with a few tricks & traps (and how to avoid them!) Solve chess puzzles, analyze chess positions, and play through basic endgames with ease. Have fun testing your skills in weekly practice games. You'll feel your confidence increase as your tactical abilities, pattern recognition, calculation, and visualization improves with your game! Come hang out with friends and crochet! For those who are new to crochet, we will learn how to chain and create basic stitches, and those who already have basic skills down can get busy with a fun, new project. Imaginative theater games will have you on your feet, spouting adjectives, telling stories, and defining the essential 4 W's -- What, Why, Where, and Who. Incorporate your senses, listen and learn to work as a dynamic team. Build your confidence in front of others and build trust with your fellow players in a fun, supportive manner. THE ANIME OF STUDIO GHIBLI - Part ll
Immerse yourself in the beautiful Japanese animation (anime) of Studio Ghibli, whose films include My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, and Ponyo. Besides visiting a new film each week, students will create a sketchbook/portfolio of characters and landscapes inspired by animation and stills from each film!

TEENS RUN SLC Closed / class is full
Keep training for the SLC Half Marathon on Saturday April 20th! The mission of Teens Run SLC is "to nurture, empower, and transform local youth to be self-reliant, independent, and key players in their community through the power of running". Students will receive a - free - training t-shirt, free entry into the race, and one free pair of running shoes* from Teens Run SLC, as well as the additional swag provided by the half marathon.

We love water and fun all year round! We'll be indoors this winter and spring --- anywhere we can dive in and enjoy ourselves. We'll swim, slide, splash, and play games. You also need to sign separate waivers for YGT.

HOMEWORK HALL
Need a chance to get your homework done before your busy afternoon and evening activities? Students focus on their school work or silent reading in a quiet, supervised “study hall.” Sign up for one day or more, depending upon your needs. Homework Hall continues all year long, but registration occurs per term to allow for flexibility in students’ changing after-school schedules. Homework Hall is offered Monday through Thursday.

EXTENDED DAY
Downtime AFTER our enrolled after school classes, this unstructured, but supervised time is different than Homework Hall or our other activity-based classes. Socialize, play games, and just hang out until a parent or pick-up arrives. If your child does not head out by themselves for the bus, biking, walking, carpool or TRAX, this is a great option AFTER our other AFTER SCHOOL offerings.
