Thank you, parents and guardians, for your patience as we’ve worked through the growing pains of introducing and adapting our new learning platform, Canvas.
As a reminder, students use Canvas to find timely information about classroom activities and assignments, check their grades, and see if they have any missing work.
Parents and guardians use Canvas as Observers. This means you can view your child’s coursework, grades, and other course information without directly participating in the class.
We encourage you to go through Canvas with your student each week — it’s a great way to answer the classic question: “What did you do today?”
We now have more detailed instructions on How to Join Canvas as a Parent Observer. This is a two-step process:
1. Your student generates a unique pairing code from their account.
2. You use that code to create your Observer account.
