Lindsay Bayles, Humanities 5/6 & 7/8

I would like to warmly welcome you to Humanities! I have been teaching at Salt Lake Arts Academy since 2005, and my passion for learning, particularly in history, drives my teaching approach.

Alongside Nancy Hoodes, I co-teach the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade Humanities classes.I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in History Teaching and English as a Second Language. Additionally, I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.

I believe that students learn best when they feel connected and safe, and I strive to create an environment in my classroom that fosters this sense of belonging.

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, running, reading, snowshoeing, and working on home projects. I share my life with a wonderful husband, two delightful sons, and a spirited dog. I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to learning together!
