Mr. Paszko Takes on Mars!

SLArts Science teacher, Mr. Jake Paszko, has had the amazing opportunity this week to be a Crew Member at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah.

MDRS is a Mars simulation lab where scientists, engineers, teachers, and dreamers test what it’s like to live and work on another planet. From limited resources to communication delays, every part of life there mimics a real mission to Mars. It’s where we “know before we go” — helping make future human missions possible.

And keeping it in the SLArts family ... also there is Alex Rowe, Dance teacher Ms. Denny Jo's husband, who is a Salt Lake District employee (pictured with Mr. Paszko). Oh the adventures!

Can't wait to see what knowledge Mr. Paszko brings back to share with his students and the rest of our school! Follow his cool journey on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@i_show_science/videos
