Stop-Motion Science: 7th Graders Explore the Human Body Systems

Mr. Theriot's 7th grade science students recently finished a stop-motion project on human body systems, and the results were seriously impressive!

Students took on the role of teacher, creating short films that explained how one body system works and how it connects with others. Each group focused on a different system, so everyone relied on their classmates’ videos to build a full understanding of the human body.

Along the way, they practiced important skills like working together, planning their ideas, and communicating clearly — all while digging deeper into how our body systems keep us going. The creativity the students brought to the project was fantastic, from hand-drawn artwork to game-show formats to clever pop-culture references.

The students wrapped up with a little “movie premiere,” popcorn included, where they shared their films and learned from one another. It was a great finish to a great project.

Check out videos below:
1) One of the "Most Mentioned" stop motion videos: Muscular system created by Mercy, Eliot and Pascal.
2) "Clever delivery of key concepts" through a game show: Skeletal System created by Allie and Laurel.
3) Noted for "Great Custom Art": Integumentary system created by James, Pyper and Val.
