CLAY INTENSIVE / MORNINGS ONLY

We are thrilled to be bringing back a favorite camp! .... Get your hands covered in clay as Ms. Elizabeth guides you in creating several amazing ceramic projects. We'll work with natural, polymer, and self hardening clay constructing our own bowl, cup, and plate as well as creatures, beads, pendants and more. Techniques of pinch, coil, slab construction, and basic wheel throwing will be covered. Colorful glazes and glass are part of some of the pieces. Come spend your mornings working with clay! RC CARS, RACES, & GOING PLACES / AM

Not gonna lie, Remote Control Cars are lit and for everyone! Learn about, modify, play with, and race RC cars! Discover the joys of miniature scale and radio control as we explore how they work, create our own tracks to race on, take them out & about, and see who will be the ultimate driver for the trophy of the summer. SALT LAKE LOCAL  ADVENTURES! / FULL DAY    
Get ready to explore your city like never before! Daily excursions to some of the hidden haunts*, as well as the brightest & boldest street art you can find. We'll visit amazing local landmarks, explore parks and outdoor spaces you may have never been to before, picnic and enjoy lunch out .... maybe we'll even try a scavenger hunt of some sort! BUILD-A-BUDDY / AM     
Everyone could use a cuddly buddy Teddy Bear! In this fun camp you get to build Teddy just the way you'd like to. After he is all stitched up, then the fun begins with his outfits. He is no regular bear, so enjoy coming up with cute designs for exactly what your Teddy Bear Buddy loves to do! Instructor: Mei Mei Nagata-Brown

CREEPY CREATURES & NATURE NINJAS / AM
Journey outside to a world of mystery and learn to read nature's clues and larger stories! Track the adventures of Madagascan hissing cockroaches on wet sand mini-habitats that you create, hunt bumblebees for a citizen science project, or compare a bat skeleton with your own. Let's detect "What happened here?" as we observe tracks, or see 'skat' .... Was it a cougar, deer, or maybe a moose!? Whether we are learning more about wild Utah, or traveling to our neighborhood community gardens, we are going to take in nature and the creatures around us with a scientist's eyes. We'll do some hands-on exploration, games, and fun activities, but we will also head up to some trails, too. Maybe City Creek, the Miller Bird Refuge, or Jordan River, where ever the clues and our curiosity leads us! Instructor: Jeni White

STOP MOTION COMMOTION / AM     
Learn  Storyboard, film, and edit short stop motion movies. We'll be getting inspiration from scenes around our school, from the summer season, from stories we want to share .... And watching tons of examples. Let's challenge ourselves to make awesome movies using a variety of materials. including lego, origami, and even people! Instructor: Hannah Rutherford

WORLD BUILDING & ROLE DESIGNS / AM     
Learn how to build a world of your own imagination where you can create all the details for role playing games, like Dungeons & Dragons and others. Explore the challenges of being a Dungeon Master, and watch the world unfold with the players around you! Choose details around small settings or vast places, the storylines to bring people into, characters from heroes to villains who inhabit your world, the lore behind the characters, convincing backgrounds, and so much more. COLOR, LIGHT, & SHADOW
with GUEST ARTIST! ~ BENJAMIN CHILDRESS       
Using colored-lights, students will explore basic color-theory within their own shadows to capture self-portraits that will be artistically recreated using paint, paper, and/or other media. There will also be an emphasis on documenting an environment that is personal to each student. CHESS CAMP / PM     
Come learn more about this timeless game of strategy as we continue to build up from the basics! Chess Camp will be geared towards students who already know how to play chess, would like to improve their game, and may want to prepare for tournament competitions, now or in the future. Players should already know the relative value of pieces and how each piece moves and captures. We'll enjoy Tactics Contests, Chess Trivia, and non-rated Blitz and quick tournaments to earn prizes, participation awards, medallions, and trophies. Chess Coach: Marti Olsen

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS / PM
Join the campaign as we brave the dangers of the magical, mysterious, and legendary Misty Forest! You will start off customizing a character of your choice, create a backstory, and receive magical items and equipment to help guide you through the forest. Working as a team, our party will overcome conflicts, battle foes, and seek out ancient treasures. Your character's choices impact the guide the story in this classic tabletop role playing game! CONTEMPORARY DANCE / PM
Take your dancing to the next level! This open-level camp is perfect for ages 13-15 and focuses on elevating technique, exploring modern and contemporary dance history, and building performance skills. Throughout the week, dancers will refine their technique, experiment with movement, and collaborate with the instructors to create a fully choreographed dance that showcases their creativity, precision, and artistry. EXTENDED DAY AM/PM
Extend your day with a relaxing hang time for an extra hour both before normal drop-off in the mornings, as well as adding an extra hour for pick-up at the end of the day. Play frisbee, games, cards, listen to the music that hits different. Not gonna lie, it's super chill, but still a good vibe. Signing up for the week includes all 10 times -- expanding your days from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ~ Various Instructors (with rizz, obviously)  Total Cost $90
