The Amy Wadsworth Legacy Fund

Our beloved founder and Principal, Amy Wadsworth, will retire in June of 2019. To honor her legacy, pioneer spirit and her sheer force of will, we are establishing the Amy Wadsworth Legacy Fund.
Charter Schools in Utah are placed on uneven footing from the moment they open, receiving even less public funding than traditional public schools.  From the time of Salt Lake Arts Academy's founding, Amy and our school's leadership have found creative ways to maximize our budget, offering rich and interesting programming in a variety of settings -- including four different school locations in our first three years of existence!
Now, thanks to prudent planning by our Governing Board and sound financial management from our Business office, our school is  housed in a building we own, we are financially stable and thriving, and we receive generous support from Parents and the community at large -- but there are always needs that fall outside of the school budget.
Our goal with the Amy Wadsworth Legacy Fund is to have a "little something set aside" that our new Principal and Governing Board can draw on to support those "emergencies" and "opportunities" that present themselves every year.
We invite our Parents, Alumni, former Board and Staff to make a donation in Amy's honor -- for the school she founded and the community she built at Salt Lake Arts Academy,
