The Amy Wadsworth Legacy Fund

Our beloved founder and Principal, Amy Wadsworth, will retire in June of 2019. To honor her legacy, pioneer spirit and her sheer force of will, we are establishing the Amy Wadsworth Legacy Fund.

Charter Schools in Utah are placed on uneven footing from the moment they open, receiving even less public funding than traditional public schools.  From the time of Salt Lake Arts Academy's founding, Amy and our school's leadership have found creative ways to maximize our budget, offering rich and interesting programming in a variety of settings -- including four different school locations in our first three years of existence!

Now, thanks to prudent planning by our Governing Board and sound financial management from our Business office, our school is  housed in a building we own, we are financially stable and thriving, and we receive generous support from Parents and the community at large -- but there are always needs that fall outside of the school budget.

To honor Amy, and the incredible community she has built, we've created the Amy Wadsworth Legacy Fund.  This fund will be the  "little something set aside" that our new Principal and Governing Board can draw on to creatively address those "emergencies" and "opportunities" that present themselves every year.

We invite our Parents, Board Members and former Board Members, friends and family to help us keep Amy's vision alive by making a gift to this fund in honor of Amy's remarkable career.
