BASKETBALL BASICS
Has March Madness college B-ball gotten you psyched to hit the basketball court? Join together with other basketball enthusiasts to improve your skills, develop your game, and learn to work as a team. We will start with drills and regular practice, then play a friendly game each week. No prior experience necessary. Don't forget your water bottle, good sportsmanship, and enthusiasm for a fun time outside on the court! Instructor: Jake Paszko

Join fellow student musicians who want to jam together and prepare for a live performance at SLArts Fest! Pick your instrument (including your voice), nominate your favorite song, and let's get together to practice, collaborate, perform live, and have great time! These creative sessions are for aspiring musicians of all types and levels. Enjoy sharing your love of music to the masses at SLArts. (And it'll be up to the group whether you'd like to come up with a surprise song for the Talent Show on the last day of school, too!) Instructor: Eric Mc Kenna-Spreng

SEWING & STITCHING OUTSIDE THE LINES
Sewing is certainly a practical skill, but it’s also a fun medium for creative self-expression! Let’s bend the “rules” and make some art using fabric and thread (and yarn, dye, paper, beads, and who knows what else!) We'll be busy in this 4 session workshop learning how to use sewing machines, practicing creative hand-sewing like Japanese Sashiko, and experimenting with a variety of fabrics, fibers, and techniques to create unique creations to treasure. WICKED WEDNESDAY
Let's fly off to the Land of Oz to uncover and discover elements of both the 2024 'Wicked' movie, as well as carefully selected scenes & numbers from the Tony award winning musical 'Wicked'! We'll be creating wicked~cool art and spending time immersing ourselves in the 21st century Wicked story that revises characters, fabled history, and settings from the beloved L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel, and later 1939 movie 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. Enjoy choreographing our own dance, or learning a dance from the stage musical. A wicked fun class with our wicked cool teacher, Ingrid Martinez.

TEENS RUN SLC
Our team of runners is currently training for the SLC Half Marathon/10K on Saturday April 26th! Cheer them on from a location near your home, or be at the finish line on Race Day! The SLArts team will wearing the Teens Run SLC t-shirt. WOOT WOOT!!! with Coach Mr.T & SLArts Alum Kira Hill-Filben

YOU GOAT THIS ~ SKATE GOATS!
Get out your quads or blades! Learn to skate, brush up on skills, dance moves, crossover, backwards skating, speed skating, or we'll scratch up the ice .... have fun & get fit! You must have your own skates, helmets, and pads. (Rentals will be covered if necessary for ice skating.) We'll be indoors and out, occasionally at our local Derby Depot, but outside in the sun at other off-site locations whenever we can! Please note: Helmets will be required.

ART SOCIAL CLUB ~ CLASS IS FULL / CLOSED
Come create in your art studio space! We will be drawing, painting, sculpting, and designing .... working with different kinds of media, be it clay, collage, paint, or digital works. Visit with friends, meet new ones, listen to music, be creative! We may also be traveling to see exhibits at The City Library and UMOCA, as well as enjoying short outings in the neighborhood from time to time. Art Social Club includes a sketchbook for plenty of your ideas, doodles, and drafts. Limited student enrollment. Instructor: Elizabeth Wilson

HOMEWORK HALL
Need a chance to get your homework done before your busy afternoon and evening activities? Students focus on their work or silent reading in a quiet, supervised “study hall.” Sign up for one day or more, depending upon your needs. Homework Hall is offered Monday through Thursday.

EXTENDED DAY
Downtime AFTER our enrolled after school classes, this unstructured, but supervised time is different than Homework Hall or our other activity-based classes. Socialize, play games, and just hang out until a parent or pick-up arrives. If your child does not head out by themselves for the bus, biking, walking, carpool or TRAX, this is a great option AFTER our other AFTER SCHOOL offerings.
