DRAMA IMPROV with IMPROV SALT LAKE COMPANY

Focus on 'Saying Yes' as we jump into play that includes improv, comedy, acting, and definitely laughter! These theater games will have you on your feet, spouting adjectives, telling stories, and defining the essential 4 W's -- What, Why, Where, and Who -- necessary to every scene and story. We'll enjoy group stories, create characters, build scenarios, incorporate our senses, listen intently, and learn to work as a dynamic team as we build our skills, develop trust, and grow in confidence on the stage. Let's be tourists in our lively city and explore all the cool things SLC has to offer! Each week we'll either go on a fun local adventure visiting local business or locales, try out some nearby locally owned restaurants or cafés for a taste of something new, make our own food, and more. On our own turf we create art that represents our state or the city, learn about our city's history, and how cool monuments came to be, like the 9th & 9th whale, "Out of the Blue". Join us for another fun after-school bouldering program at The Bouldering Project! Participants will learn climbing techniques, improve problem-solving skills, and build confidence as they overcome obstacles and reach new heights. It's also a great opportunity to make new friends and work together to conquer climbing challenges.

MATH TUTORIAL ~ our Tutorials are FULL at this time

Extra math assistance and instruction in small groups from our Math faculty & others familiar with our CPM Math curriculum. Our grade level groups focus on both math homework completion while also developing conceptual math understanding. Math Tutorial continues all year long, but registration occurs per term to allow for flexibility in students’ changing schedules and proficiency. Math Tutorial is offered on Tuesday AND/OR Thursday.

HOMEWORK HALL

Need a chance to get your homework done before your busy afternoon and evening activities? Students focus on their work or silent reading in a quiet, supervised “study hall.” Sign up for one day or more, depending upon your needs. Homework Hall is offered Monday through Thursday.

EXTENDED DAY

Downtime AFTER our enrolled after school classes, this unstructured, but supervised time is different than Homework Hall or our other activity-based classes. Socialize, play games, and just hang out until a parent or pick-up arrives. If your child does not head out by themselves for the bus, biking, walking, carpool or TRAX, this is a great option AFTER our other AFTER SCHOOL offerings.
